Discover Spearhead’s new GPS/GIS Utility Mapping Service! Enhance safety, efficiency, and compliance in construction. Say goodbye to vanishing markings and step into a secure, efficient future.

Since 2015, Spearhead Locating Services have delighted customers by ensuring their utility locating projects are done quickly, accurately, and professionally using the latest technology available. Spearhead’s goal from day one was to provide a wide range of services so that, with one call, all of your locating needs are covered.

Now, after surveying the market and talking extensively with clients about their needs, Spearhead Locating Services has added Underground Cable Fault Detection to its growing list of services offered.

Cable Fault DetectionFaults on underground electrical cables include earth faults, short circuit faults, and open circuit faults. They are typically caused by water damage, ground movement, or accidents during construction and can be serious, resulting in extended downtime or worse.

“Trying to find underground faults in long cable runs yourself can be extremely difficult, time consuming, and frustrating,” says Dave Marzio, Spearhead’s Founder and CEO. “You do not want to dig until you know exactly where the fault is.”

The infrastructure practice of direct buried electrical cables has been widely used for many decades and is much less reliable than the practice of placing cables in duct or conduit. A skilled technician using underground cable fault detection tools can quickly and accurately pinpoint the fault location. Getting the repairs done safely and right away gets you back to work faster.

By adding Underground Cable Fault Detection to their existing service list of Utility Locating, Concrete Scanning, and Subsurface Investigations using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), this expanded group of services makes Spearhead the go-to utility locator in Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties.

Dave Marzio and truck“We want to be your locating services partner – your one-stop shop for peace of mind and digging confidence,” states Marzio. “By expanding our services to include Underground Cable Fault Detection, we have proven, once again, our commitment to building customer satisfaction. With one call to us, Spearhead Locating Services will take care of you and all your locating needs.”
